The “Moai” statues of Easter Island are still one of the great unsolved mysteries of the ancient world. Left behind over 5 centuries ago by the island’s inhabitants who disappeared without a trace, science still can’t explain how these massive 80 ton megaliths were moved such vast distances and raised to their resting places.
