The bottom graphic is Cairo discovering a desert oasis, I used light colors, no black outlines, lots of sparkles and some wavy lines, making it obvious its basically a dream, a mirage, but Cairo and the camel outlines in black, nice and bold.

Then you flip over the board to see the top graphic, and its basically the same image as the oasis, but its a harsh reality, toxic smog, burning tires, vultures, flies, barbwire, trash, and we see Cairo having just reached the reality of the oasis.

Its almost a metaphor for some peoples idea of a skateboarding career. They dream of what it is and what it could be. Having an idea that its all rainbows and perfection Then they are faced with reality of injuries, taxes, drama, getting older, having to film. Maybe thats too deep and not fully accurate, but as I was sketching this, I started to see how this idea maybe mirrors some peoples experience??? – TODD BRATRUD
